Who is Verdegree?
Verdegree is a progressive rock band based in the Boston/Cambridge/Medford area of Massachusetts.
Verdegree got their start in 2015 with the debut of Elisabeth Hoffman's album "Green; Chromesthesia". The singer/songwriter EP was just the beginning as the band began to pursue a deeper, darker, richer sounds with the addition of new members Shawn McVey (guitar) and Mitch Dion (drums).
In November 2020 the band released their first single together titled "Serpentine"; a track that would create a stark contrast to the sweet sounds of their former EP: Brooding guitar harmonies, intriguing vocal layers and a heavy driving vibe. Verdegree released the full debut EP "Gatekeeper" in February 2021. A conceptual art piece released during the pandemic. The band decided to drop this album with a unique twist: a 25 page illustrated lyric book with a corresponding download card.
Verdegree plans to release a "Part 2" of Gatekeeper in the near future to continue the story of Averis.
